Data Dictionary 1.5 Certificates are Officially Outdated
Most MLS service providers are now aware of the RESO Commander certification testing tool. The most important change about certification going forward is that we have removed the need for MLS and association staff to immediately work directly with RESO staff. MLS service providers will be the primary contacts through the certification process.
This is not to say that MLS staff cannot be involved, and, obviously, some systems are homegrown and will require a more hands-on approach. We also encourage vendors to certify their systems, so we will be happy to work with any and all manner of technical staff.
All testing will now go through MLS service providers and the new RESO Commander testing tool. Please contact josh@reso.org if you have further questions about the use of RESO Commander. Please contact certification@reso.org if you have general questions about certification.
The new policies are intended to streamline the certification process and make adherence to standards easier for RESO members. We are always interested to hear how we’re doing in this regard.

December 9, 2020 – Voting Closes (Technically, voting ends at 6:00 am ET / 3:00 am PT, if you prefer to vote by candlelight.)
December 14, 2020 – Election Results Announced!
Open Seats in This Election:
One (1) Class B (Technology Companies, Developers, Partners & Consultants) with revenue over $25 million annually.
Two (2) Class C (MLSs and REALTOR® Associations) with fewer than 50,000 subscribers.
Two (2) Class D (Real Estate Brokerages, Brokers, Agents & Appraisers) any tier.
The RESO board is responsible for the governance of RESO and development of the organization’s strategic plan. All candidates for the board are representative of a RESO member organization.

RESO Member Collaboration System Changes Coming
RESO’s membership collaboration system, Confluence, is going to be going through some changes as the year comes to an end.
We will be making what amounts to a mandatory switch from a highly customized server-based system to a more out-of-the-box Confluence Cloud system. Granted, Confluence is giving us three years to make the change, but since server license sales will not be extended past February 2, 2021, we’re going to the front of the class on the switch.
In general, the structure of the system will be essentially the same but simplified. We do not expect members to struggle with the transition.
You will need to re-login to RESO’s Confluence Cloud once it’s up and running, and we provide instructions here and via email on how to do that (with diagrams) before we begin our move to the new system on December 28, 2020. | FURTHER READING
