The agenda is up for the RESO Spring Conference in Tucson, April 15–17, and it must look pretty good, because we keep having to beg our venue to open up more rooms for our hungry attendees.

As we eye another conference sellout, let’s look at some highlights. | SEE AGENDA

Smart Search

You would be ill-advised to assume that standards-driven content is as dry as the heat in a Tucson summer.

Dan Troup of Broker Public Portal (BPP) has entertained RESO audiences since his RE/MAX days. He delivers delectable diamonds with a twinkle in his eye, from the launch of RESO Analytics to reimagining consumer property search with AI under the hood.

Troup’s latest offering is “From RAG to RESO: Transforming Real Estate Data for Smart Search. He will explore how the RESO Data Dictionary transforms into a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) system for real estate search.

By leveraging AI and OpenAPI standards, Troup will share how to empower an AI model to interact and learn from structured RESO data. He will walk through the process of integrating feedback, improving search queries and search accuracy.

Attendees will gain insights into building an AI-powered real estate search experience that understands natural language queries, fetches structured data via API calls and iterates for better results.

Property Intelligence

Dominik Pogorzelski from Restb.ai recently wowed a RESO audience with a master class on practical, analysis-backed uses of AI in real estate. In Tucson, he will enlighten us with our connection to the bleeding edge of tech, with “When AI Speaks RESO: The New Language of Property Intelligence.”

Our current reality is that MLSs operate as structured databases. They are dependent on manual input and validation, while vast amounts of property intelligence lives untapped in photos, sensors and digital signals.

Dominik will explore the “AI Bridge” – artificial intelligence acting as a universal translator. It automatically converts multiple data streams into RESO-compliant insights without disrupting existing workflows.

He will also discuss the next evolution of AI – a new layer of living property intelligence where every data source speaks RESO, properties maintain their own digital profiles and MLSs become orchestrators of dynamic property information.

Broker Spotlight

Jeff Bosch from IRES MLS and Nina Dosanjh from Vanguard Properties have livened up the format of the Broker Advisory Workgroup meeting in recent years by interviewing working real estate practitioners about the most pertinent issues facing brokers today.

Their last stage show together included Matt Hendricks from Zillow. Their next one will put the inspiring James Dwiggins from NextHome into the hot seat – not hot from Jeff and Nina’s line of questioning, but lit up by James’s honest and unflinching style!

Pain Points

Rick Herrera from Constellation Data Labs (formerly Constellation1) and Olga Ermolin from MLSListings have been running the popular RESO Pain Points session together for a year now. This year they will add the high-powered expertise of Gayle Ludemann from Midwest Real Estate Data (MRED) to the mix.

With more than 80 years of collective technical and real estate experience between them (yes, 80!), they provide exactly what we need for a session that often creates items that land on RESO’s strategic plan.

So get your ticket quickly! The sessions will be intriguing, the networking is next level and the activities will have you smiling from dawn to starry skies.
