Five members of the Real Estate Standards Organization were recently named RISMedia 2019 Newsmakers. RESO CEO Jeremy Crawford, Board Chair Art Carter, Board Directors Paul Boomsma and Alon Chaver, and Web API Workgroup Chair Scott Petronis all were selected for a wide range of accomplishments, according to RISMedia, a leader in real estate news and information.
This is not surprising as these folks have been involved with RESO for a long while and have continually driven the advancement of standards and their importance to the real estate industry.
The RISMedia Real Estate Newsmaker Awards recognize those individuals who are making headlines as a result of their newsworthy contributions to the real estate industry, and their efforts to positively affect the consumers and communities they serve.

Winners were selected by RISMedia editors for a range of accomplishments, from a list that included advancing the industry, impacting change, technology achievements, diversity, and inclusion, business accomplishments and growth, humanitarian efforts, industry activism and support, thought leadership and influence, excellence in customer service, creativity and innovation, and more.
The five RESO leaders are now part of an exclusive group of 250+ Real Estate Newsmakers selected by RISMedia for the 2019 Class and will be showcased in the December 2018 issue of RISMedia’s Real Estate magazine. Carter is CEO of CRMLS, Boomsma is President and CEO of Leading Real Estate Companies of the World, Chaver is Chief Information Officer of Home Services of America, and Scott Petronis is Chief Product & Technology Officer of eXp Realty.

. A small group from the 250+ Newsmakers list will be named to RISMedia’s Real Estate Newsmakers Hall of Fame.
These Newsmakers will be officially inducted into RISMedia’s Hall of Fame at the RISMedia 2019 Real Estate Newsmaker Awards Reception & Dinner held at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., in May 2019. The event will coincide with the National Association of REALTORS® mid-year REALTORS® Legislative Meetings & Trade Expo.
RISMedia launched the first annual Newsmakers Awards in 2018 with an inaugural Hall of Fame list that included National Association of REALTORS® Chief Executive Officer Bob Goldberg; HomeServices of America Chairman and CEO Ron Peltier; Howard Hanna Real Estate Services Chief Executive Officer Helen Hanna Casey; HSF Affiliates Vice President of Diversity & Inclusion Teresa Palacios Smith; RE/MAX Boone Realty CEO and National Association of REALTORS® 2018 President Elizabeth Mendenhall; Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Rand Realty General Manager and Chief Creative Officer Joseph Rand; and HomeSmart International Founder and Chief Executive Officer Matt Widdows.
