Certification Update
Congratulations to the following organizations for achieving their Data Dictionary 1.7 and Web API Core 2.0.0 endorsements and being added to RESO Analytics:
View the certification status of all MLSs on the RESO Certification Map, which is also a good place to review your address and subscriber count. Contact certification@reso.org for changes.
In order to be listed as Certified Current on the map, MLSs must approve their certification reports from their vendors for two items – a Data Dictionary endorsement and a Web API endorsement – sent as a pair to the MLS’s primary contact by email.
Questions about RESO certification should be directed to your MLS vendor. Questions about self-testing or the technical aspects of certification, may be directed to dev@reso.org.

RESO@
RESO CEO Sam DeBord is an external advisor to the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) Technology Committee and attended the latest meeting of the group in Toronto. The purpose of the committee is to be a resource to the CREA CEO in matters related to technology initiatives.
CREA has been an important partner in the advancement of data standards into Canada, including the translation of Data Dictionary fields into French-Canadian and use of Web API for transporting data between local boards, vendors and the national realtor.ca DDF feed.
RESO was also represented at the annual outing to Scottsdale, Arizona, to talk about ways to update the MLS to deal with the popularity of co-ownership models. The group included Bernie Alen, the Founder and CEO of gig.homes, and Marnie Blanco, VP of Industry Relations for Pacaso, in a session moderated by Amy Gorce from PRESTA Team.
The new virtual conference lasted for three days from February 27 to March 1. Industry developers devoted four hours per day, the equivalent of a year’s worth of workgroup meetings, to accelerate current initiatives. Attendees worked on topics from the Transport Discussion Forum, including:
- Finalizing the Field Resource
- Add/Edit with Media and Streams
- Local Data Elements and Extension
- Legacy and/or Deprecated Fields and Lookups
- Push Replication with Web Hooks and RESO Common Format
- Maintaining Subscriptions
- Initializing Feeds
Thank you to all who invested their time and knowledge with us. RESO is planning on having two developer conferences per year (Winter and Summer) so the community can tackle important issues in a focused setting.
