Data Dictionary
- Transition of the “Master” Term to “Primary”
- Approved “soft deprecation” of “Master”
- Soft deprecation means that systems can still be in compliance by using Master as a local field, they have the option of also adopting Primary now, and adopting Primary will be required at a date and version to be determined in the future.
- Municipality vs. Township
- Approved removal of “Municipality” as a disallowed synonym from the Township field
- Legacy and Deprecated Data Elements (RCP-45) Proposal
- Power Production Source
- Approved a PowerProductionSource field to indicate the source of information about the property’s energy generation
- Addition to the PropertyPowerProduction Resource

New Data Share for MetroList, Northern Nevada Regional MLS and Oregon Data Share
MLSs based in Sacramento, California; Reno, Nevada; and Bend, Oregon announced a collaboration to share real estate transaction data across their market areas, allowing access to real-time, multi-state property listing data to subscribers and their consumers. | READ MORE
RED
RESO’s Working with Real Estate Data – Business (RED-B) course provides a primer for understanding how data flows through the industry. The course is popular for onboarding new employees and volunteer leaders. It is designed for both nontechnical and technical professionals and offers graduates a RED-B designation upon completion of the self-paced online course.

RESO Workgroup Meetings
Transport Workgroup | February 3, 2025
The Transport Workgroup reviewed updates coming for Data Dictionary 2.1, outlined in [RCP-52] Data Dictionary 2.1. The group recommended deprecating the Media ImageSizeDescription field, enumerating the City field and creating a more comprehensive way to model school fields in a future version of the Data Dictionary. | NOTES
Research & Development Workgroup | February 6, 2025
The group reviewed the Data Consistency and Integrity Business Case and its new Integrity and Consistency Rules Supplement. The case proposes creating standards for identifying, reporting and handling data errors at the source, prior to them going out to public websites and other points downstream. Additionally, the group was informed of a new subject matter expert (SME) organization that has volunteered to participate in a subgroup on the New Construction Development Data Elements Business Case. | NOTES
Data Dictionary Policy Subgroup | February 11, 2025
The inaugural meeting of this subgroup covered the tasks in the RESO Duplication and Version Policy Work document. Goals include creating policies and standards that allow for faster adoption of and certification on approved Data Dictionary data elements, allowing data providers to advertise the version they are certified on and establishing policies around duplication and deprecation. | NOTES
Bulk Sale Subgroup | February 12, 2024
In response to feedback from data providers that reviewed the previous shape-based PackageSale proposal, the group is now in pursuit of a PackageSale Resource. Fields were reviewed and the proposal will be shared via email with all group members, including those that were not in attendance. | NOTES
Fast Track Subgroup | February 18, 2025
The group reviewed and approved Flooring lookups from the [Fast Track 2025] Suggested Mappings sheet. Additionally, the group reviewed feedback on Fast Track suggestions from organizations going through certification. | NOTES
