Certification status icons have been added to the provider drop-down list on the Certification Summary page.
The icons are hoverable, showing the status for each certification, including in-process certifications.
The icons may also be useful to providers who have an existing certification and are retesting after making changes or testing a new system.

RESO@
In June, RESO spent a few days in Kelowna, British Columbia, speaking with provincial and local association executives about proptech. With nearly 50 Canadian MLSs and associations already part of the RESO membership, we look forward to bringing more standards to Canada.
The sessions were informative, Lake Okanogan was amazing, the events included delicious local beverages and the Cuban poutine was unbelievable.
Through innovation and collaboration, RESO’s Canadian members have laid the groundwork for enhancing data standards in Canada.
Thank you to our growing Canadian membership and their efforts towards the advancement of taking RESO standards international.
While RESO does not have the bandwidth to attend every association, broker or MLS event we are invited to, we will make the effort whenever possible.
In this case, West + Main is a growing brokerage based in Denver that opened an office in Minneapolis. Managing Broker, Greg Fischer (pictured on the left), has been a consistent contributor to RESO’s brokerage meetings and online conversations. This was a great opportunity for RESO to hear fresh ideas as we continue to look for new and innovative ways to support and listen to the needs of our broker members.
Help us grow by participating in the Broker Advisory Workgroup, a great place to discuss broker-centric issues and turn them into RESO standards.

RESO Workgroup Meetings
Research & Development Workgroup | June 8, 2023
The group provided updates on ongoing business cases. For the Smart Home Standards business case, the group will suggest clarifying changes to the Smart Home lookup definition to the Data Dictionary Workgroup. The Standard Status Subgroup will revise Standard Status definitions and review certification data of the MLS Status field for possible new additions to Standard Status. The Payload Filter on Certification Pages case may include an additional component of ranking the importance of fields tagged for each payload. An update on the adoption of the Universal Property Identifier (UPI) and its upcoming version 2 release were given, along with an update on the progress of the Unique Licensee Identifier (ULI). | NOTES
Transport Workgroup | June 12, 2023
The group discussed a proposal to support a default subset of selected fields from a given provider. Selecting everything by default can be resource intensive in cases such as the Property Resource, which has a large number of computed fields. This applies to live query clients rather than those using replication, who would typically consume all data they had access to. The group also continued the discussion of Add/Edit with Media, which is one of the Summer Developers Workshop topics. | NOTES
Interoperability Workgroup | June 13, 2023
The chair recapped the 2023 RESO Spring Conference Interoperability Workgroup session. The group discussed each of the new cases that were brought forth and the existing RESO Change Proposals (RCPs) that may be used to help move them forward. A research plan was formed and an unofficial poll taken on the importance of each case. A post for each case will be made within the Current Discussions section of the Interoperability Workgroup home page for further comments. The group also discussed the creation of a best practices guide for using RESO standards. | NOTES
Certification Subgroup | June 15, 2023
The group discussed originating and source system fields with respect to the Model, Field and Lookup resources in addition to their current usage in existing resources, which is common but not standardized. Some clarification was made around testing rules for StandardStatus and MlsStatus in that if a provider has MlsStatus, they MUST have StandardStatus as well. | NOTES
Standard Status Definitions Subgroup | June 20, 2023
As noted in the R&D Workgroup notes, this group is working on revising the Standard Status definitions and reviewing certification data of the MLS Status field for possible new additions to Standard Status.
Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Subgroup | June 21, 2023
The group reviewed the CRE Mapping Spreadsheet with a focus on specific topics and related fields that were identified at the previous meeting and whether they should be included in a CRE standard. | NOTES
Broker Advisory Workgroup | June 22, 2023
The meeting included discussion of two potential new resources for business linkages and MLS data processes. Both would ideally improve collaboration, communication and ease of bringing new products into the real estate data market. The group also discussed how to improve adoption of the Social Media structure of the Data Dictionary and encourage a centralized entry point for that type of data. Additionally, a prospective Data Share Compliance Subgroup was determined not to be needed. | NOTES
Distributed Ledger Workgroup | June 27, 2023
The group discussed the existing Listings on Blockchain and User-Defined Terms-of-Use and Tracking business cases, deciding to “archive” or not pursue them further at this time. The group also decided to shelve potential new business cases, Invocation of Smart Contracts and Replication Through Distributed Ledger. Additionally, feedback for the Transport Workgroup about RCP-025, RCP-027 and RCP-028 was documented. | NOTES
Universal Property Identifier (UPI) | June 28, 2023
A recap of recent group activities was presented, and there was an open discussion about existing UPI topics. The group also gathered feedback and suggestions for how to engage the real estate tech community about UPI adoption and improvement. | NOTES
Data Dictionary Workgroup | June 29, 2023
The meeting included a review of the upcoming Model, Field and Lookup resources, as well as the proposals for conveying local data and supporting multiple metadata locales. The FrontageType vs. WaterfrontFeatures and Safety Fields proposals were reviewed and suggestions were discussed. The request for a Closet Type field was also discussed, and the group decided that further research on potential redundancy with the requested lookups should be conducted. Before being put to a vote, it was determined that the ImageContains proposal will require additional discussion in a special subgroup or at the next meeting. | NOTES
Rental Subgroup | June 29, 2023
The group reviewed Rent Price, Pets and Listing Status. Additionally, the group indicated that they would like to increase participation prior to making any recommendations, and the chair will work with RESO staff on increasing subgroup visibility. | NOTES
