Certification Update
The list of Data Dictionary 1.7 and Web API Core 2.0.0 endorsements continues to grow. Congratulations to the following additions to RESO Analytics:
View the certification status of all MLSs on the RESO Certification Map, which is also a good place to review your address and subscriber count. Contact certification@reso.org for changes.
To attain Certified Current status on the map, MLSs must accept their certification reports from their vendors. If you are an MLS, you will approve two items, one Data Dictionary endorsement and one Web API endorsement. These endorsements will arrive in your email inbox for approval as a pair.
If you have questions about your RESO certification, contact your MLS vendor. If you have questions about self-testing or the technical aspects of certification, contact dev@reso.org.

Sharing the benefits of being part of RESO to potential members is particularly gratifying when a member walks up with a quick, “We love you. What you do is difficult to explain, but it is powerful and we are thankful.” We are grateful for our member-based sales force!
MLS Executive Advisory Board Meeting
RESO CEO Sam DeBord attended the in-person MLS Executive Advisory Board Meeting in Philadelphia. He presented RESO’s Year in Review, including an in-depth look at our technical product development to NAR and MLS leaders.

RESO Workgroup Meetings
Transport Workgroup | November 7, 2022
The workgroup resumed discussions regarding locale translation for metadata and payloads, which had been something the Common Schema Subgroup started working on at their onsite meeting back in 2018. The remainder of the discussion was focused on Data Dictionary JSON Payloads, Add/Edit, and a review of the current GitHub Discussions. | VIEW NOTES
Data Dictionary Workgroup | November 17, 2022
The meeting included discussion of several open Data Dictionary requests and the formation of a new subgroup to streamline the lookups between the FrontageType and WaterfrontFeatures fields. Field and lookup usage statistics have been added to the Data Dictionary Wiki, which will assist with the new FrontageType vs. WaterfrontFeatures Subgroup along with future refinements of the dictionary. Additionally, a vote was passed to correct the definition of the Owner Will Carry lookup option under the ListingTerms field. | VIEW NOTES
Certification Subgroup | November 17, 2022
The Certification Subgroup reviewed and approved the addition of “context” in order to know which model is being referenced and support for single- and multi-valued payloads in the Data Dictionary JSON Payloads (RCP-025) proposal, which establishes a normative schema for any RESO Data Dictionary model in JSON format, independent of how the data was obtained. This is crucial for interoperability among diverse data sources across the real estate vertical. Add/Edit testing rules were also discussed, specifically how the source of a given error should be referenced in the error response and how error messages will be tested during certification to ensure that a non-empty string has been provided. | VIEW NOTES
Rental Subgroup | November 21, 2022
The group reconvened after gathering and mapping rental-centric metadata to share and prioritize rental topics for further discussion. The process for going through the topics was laid out, including how the first topic will be posted on the Data Dictionary Confluence Discussion Board. | VIEW NOTES
Distributed Ledger Workgroup | November 22, 2022
The group reviewed listing events on a blockchain and how events can be used by applications as a prompt to obtain information. Additionally, the potential benefits of two active business cases, Listings on Blockchain and User-Defined Terms of Use and Tracking on a Blockchain, were discussed. | VIEW NOTES
Board Liaison Committee | December 2, 2022
This meeting is held once per month in order to give workgroup chairs an opportunity to converse about their top agenda items, request help from each other and provide summary reports to the RESO Board of Directors. The reports of each chair are collected and shared as part of the meeting’s official call notes. | VIEW NOTES
