UtahRealEstate.com became the first out of more than 750 MLSs in the nation to achieve the highest compliance standard set by the Real Estate Standards Organization (RESO), Data Dictionary 1.5 Platinum. UtahRealEstate.com is the largest MLS in the state of Utah, serving over 14,000 members and 94% of the state’s REALTORS®.
The RESO Data Dictionary is known as the real estate industry’s “Rosetta Stone,” as it standardizes real estate data so that it translates easily between MLSs and software vendors. RESO’s goal is to foster real estate software innovation with quick and efficient access to MLS data. In fact, the National Association of REALTORS® recognized the need for data standardization with its 2016 mandate that all Multiple Listing Services must adopt and implement RESO standards including the RESO Data Dictionary and the RESO Web API. MLSs can demonstrate their compliance with the NAR MLS Policy Mandate 7.90 by being awarded official RESO certification.
Brad Bjelke, CEO of UtahRealEstate.com, stated, “Providing our members and vendors with the best data standard available is one of our top priorities at UtahRealEstate.com. We strive to excel in our software development, training and support, so that we provide best-in-class services to our subscribers in everything that we do. This is just another of our many steps that we are taking to lead the MLS industry in progressive and member-centric solutions.”
Jeremy Crawford, CEO of RESO, praised UtahRealEstate.com for adopting the most recent RESO Data Dictionary standard and achieving the highest level of certification. “UtahRealEstate.com is one of the premier Multiple Listing Services in the country and has achieved a standard of excellence that other outstanding organizations will soon follow. They are demonstrating a continued commitment to innovation that will create new and exciting products and services for its MLS members, brokerages and technology partners.”
