Welcome, October! We are one month away from RESO’s fall Remote Encore conference, and while we’re going to keep raising the promotional tempo toward our signature event, we also want to highlight this week’s efforts by our colleagues at CMLS, who are now within the beating heart of their own remote conference. RESO will be present on their virtual stage and in their virtual exhibition hall.
#StandardsAreClassic Sleeveface Contest Sponsored by Homes.com – Win a Record Player!
Homes.com is inviting you to “be the standard” by joining their #StandardsAreClassic social game during our RESO Remote Encore: The Standards Collection virtual fall conference, October 27–29, 2020.
To play, grab a vinyl record from your collection (or print a photo) and snap a pic showcasing your best “sleeveface” (go ahead and Google it). Basically, you complete the space outside of the album image (see a few examples on this page). | CHECK OUT MORE WEB EXAMPLES HERE!
When you’re happy with your result, share it on Twitter, tagging @RESOstandards and using the hashtags #RESOremote and #StandardsAreClassic. We will also feature your photos in a gallery on our event web page.
This sleeveface game, sponsored by Homes.com, is going on NOW ( as of September 29) and ends at midnight before the last day of the RESO conference (October 29). The winner will receive a record player and will be chosen via vote among attendees to be announced on the final day of the event.
Show off your creativity and love for the standards – both data and musical! Ready, set, create! Good luck! #RESOremote #StandardsAreClassic
If you have any questions, please contact claire@reso.org.
Please note that you must be a registered RESO Remote Encore attendee in order to be eligible to win, but all are welcome to make creative submissions.

UtahRealEstate.com is Leading the MLS Industry in Data Distribution Technology
An Innovative Approach to APIs and Data Distribution
Industries often resist change until disruption mandates it. In Utah, however, Brad Bjelke, the CEO of UtahRealEstate.com (“URE”), refuses to wait and see what may happen, and instead believes with passion that multiple listing services (MLSs) must innovate now. Leading the largest MLS in Utah (and one of the largest in the country) with more than 17,400 real estate professionals as members, Bjelke is carving a path of technology advancement to give his members the tools and services they need to excel in the practice of real estate.
When Bjelke took over nearly six years ago, he assembled a strong technology team and a plan to completely rewrite the company’s MLS software and data distribution methodology. In addition, the URE Board of Directors supported the new development tactics as well as the push to lead the country in data distribution. As a result, in less than two years, URE became the first organization to be RESO Data Dictionary Platinum Certified, it became one of the first MLSs to launch the RESO Web API and, in 2021, URE will be the first organization in the country to have all of their nearly 200 data vendors using an API for every data feed available (including Internet Data Exchange feeds, Virtual Office Website feeds, broker back office feeds, and any other custom feed that can be imagined or needed). | READ MORE
